The qn for today is: How to get along better w/ a 'poor lad'?
No it's nt necessary tt two person w/ great disparity in spending power cant get along well. There're only some things to take note. (Ha of course these r only my pt of view & "poor lad" oso includes "d-d"):
When planning to watch a movie, best to hv it on wkdays... Simple, it's $2 cheaper. (ha coz if maj can only make it on wkends then tt's anoth issue).
When smsing, avoid asking a qn tt requires just a single word 'ok' ans & expects an ans & worst still, chase tt person for tt "ok". Urrgh...! Haa usu silence means ok la (apart fr delivery prob). & When asking qn, ask all at one time where poss.. one qn at a time is only wasting sms... On d other hand, if can't make it to an outing in e 1st place, dun ask 4 fun 'who's going', 'whr u all going' etc... it's irrrritating!
When eating out (even if it's only drinking at a cafe), when e 'poor lad' said dun feel like hving anyth.. dun try to persuade him/her to eat/drink sth.. coz' he/she may b jus trying 2save tt sum of money 4other things. Worst still, dun comment "r u on a diet?" It's nt funny lor!! In fact, 'poor lad' may be even 'starving' till get back home to eat (save $$ mah).. & there ur persuasion only leads to --> temptations + torture!!
For e one w/ greater spending power, try nt to say things like "money is nt a prob"... wah.. this kinda things is very 'ci4 er3' to hear wan leh...
Worst still, dun try to give a treat/offer to buy sth when u think u're doing tt 'poor lad' a favour... U're wrong.. it only makes it worst! Poor pple hv more 'backbone'... Unless he/she is sort of e more materialistic type, he/she wouldn't wanna accept pple's offers for nth. (Yes, strongly believed 'wu gong bu shou lu'.. hah but again, special events/ occasions r exceptions). & oso it's normal for gd frds to treat one anoth... hee~

P/S: aft all, if u think poor lads r stingy? not necessary... perhaps stingy on ownself, but generous on others.. or things tt r worth spending to them.. on kins, buddies... etc (kk of course sometimes must oso 'chong3 yi4 chong3 zi4 ji3' la ;P)
